New statistics show a huge surge in the number of apprenticeships available in Nuneaton and across England, following extra investment from Government.
Nationally, 163,000 more people started an apprenticeship in the last academic year compared to the previous year. There was also a 69% increase in advanced apprenticeships.
Locally, Nuneaton had a 56% increase in the availability of apprenticeships which are helping toward tackling the problem of youth unemployment.
Welcoming the figures, the town’s Member of Parliament, Marcus Jones, said: “This increase in apprenticeships is unprecedented and is absolutely vital to tackle youth unemployment and in helping to improve the skills of the town’s workforce.”
