At the request of Nuneaton MP Marcus Jones the Strangers Bar in the House of Commons is set to order locally brewed beer ‘Band of Brothers’ as a guest ale.
Victory Beers Brewery was formed by Craig, Warren and Treeve Sperrin and is based at The Lord Nelson Inn in Ansley Village. The brewery opened in January 2012 after the Sperrin brothers established a state of the art six barbell micro-brewery at the Birmingham Road based business.
The first beer brewed by the brothers was a golden 4.2% ale named 'Band of Brothers'. In April, a second beer was brewed to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games.
Marcus has now asked that ‘Band of Brothers’ is ordered for the Strangers Bar in Parliament as one of the weekly guest ales that are offered to its customers.
Commenting on his support for the business, Marcus said: “From visiting the Lord Nelson Inn and speaking to the Sperrin brothers, I have seen firsthand the passion and commitment shown by the brothers in producing high quality ale. I will always do what I can to support local businesses and to promote Nuneaton, and getting local ale onto the pumps in Parliament is a great way of doing that.
“I look forward to seeing ‘Band of Brothers’ on sale in Parliament.”
