Local MP Marcus Jones has written to all first, primary and junior schools in his constituency to invite them to take part in his first Christmas card design competition.

The winner’s card will be used by the MP as his formal Christmas card – and will be invited to a tour of the Houses of Parliament, conducted by Marcus, with tea on the terrace of the House of Commons overlooking the River Thames.

The card designs have to be returned to Marcus’ constituency office, at 13 – 17 Hollybush House, Bond Gate, Nuneaton, CV11 4AR by Friday 15 November.

Commenting, Marcus said: “I am delighted to launch the Christmas card design competition and whilst I am used to making some tough decisions, I am sure that picking the winner will prove to be one of the toughest!

“I encourage all schools to take part and am very hopeful of receiving a lot of entries.”
