Nuneaton’s MP Marcus Jones is urging people in Nuneaton to have their say about local train services during a drop in session that will take place in September.
The Town’s MP has been a strong advocate for better rail services in Nuneaton since his election to Parliament and now local people will have the chance to share their views of local services with Network Rail, Virgin Trains and London Midland.
The event will take place on Tuesday 16 September from 10am – 3pm and will be held in the Community Room at ASDA Nuneaton.
Commenting on the initiative, Marcus said: “This is an extremely important opportunity for people to have their say on local rail services with the companies directly involved. I am very grateful to Network Rail, Virgin Trains and London Midland for agreeing to take part in this event, as well as ASDA for allowing us to use their Community Room, and I very much hope that people will take the time to come along and have their say.
Adding, Patrick Verwer, the Managing Director of London Midland, said: “When Marcus Jones MP suggested putting on this event I had no hesitation in supporting it. Listening to our passengers is one of the most important things we can do to improve our services.”
Anne Grant, Customer Experience Manager, West Midlands Stations for Virgin Trains, added: “Marcus is a passionate believer in the railways and we thank him for the opportunity to attend what we expect to be a very positive event.”
