Yesterday I was honoured to be invited to speak and lay a wreath at the service to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the Gurkha memorial in Nuneaton.
It was a poignant opportunity to reflect on the 204 years that the Gurkhas have made massive sacrifices alongside and as part of the British armed forces. An opportunity to reflect on the 3,000 Gurkhas in the British Army working around the world today and an opportunity to welcome the contribution our Gurkha veterans, who have settled in Nuneaton, make to our area.
