At this time of year we are all busy shopping, attending parties and catching up with friends and family, but we should also all take a step back and consider how we can help those who are in need. One way you can help is to consider making and keeping an appointment to donate blood. Currently in Nuneaton there are 1247 blood donors. This means that only 1.4% of our constituency are considered to be active blood donors. Patients need blood 365 days a year and as people get busier during the holidays it is important that donors continue to come forward. There are many excellent ways of giving back over the holiday season but every blood donation has the potential to save the lives of up to three people.
