Marcus Jones MP has today commented about the IPSA proposlas for MPs' pay.
Commenting on the proposals Marcus Jones said: "In 2009 Parliament handed over the setting of MPs pay and conditions to this independent organisation, IPSA. I fully agree that MPs should not set their own terms, but IPSA are so wide of the mark with what they are proposing. However they think you can justify this sort of increase when peoples incomes and living standards have been squeezed for 5 or 6 years is beyond me. I will write into the consultation opposing the increase.”
